Hi antraeger and a big welcome to LibriVox! I have assigned that section to you but before you record it, please make and upload a 1 minute test to be sure your recording set up is OK. Instructions can be found in our Wiki and in the first post of this project but Here is a video that may help too: How to Make your 1 minute test.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlaRY_-bcfs and then How to Upload your 1 minute test How to Upload your 1 minute test
(You may post the link to your test in this forum and I will see it much more quickly)
I also recommend Getting To Know our Forums Getting To Know Our Forums
We just want to check out your technical specs. Don't forget to post the link either in this thread or in Listeners WAnted forum. And how would you like to be credited in our catalog? What name? most of us use our real name but it is up to you.
Hi, I'm new here. May I claim section 10, KIND WILLIAM AND THE WATER SPRITE?

Welcome Vonna. Your test is OK and you may have that story. Ask if anything is confusing. Also, your voice is wonderful; strong and clear and expressive . !!1

Thank you Darrell for bringing us this marvelous tale!
(A version of this was one of my favourite stories as a child, featuring a baby princess and a fairy godmother called Mirurgis. I've always liked it so much that I named my cat after the fairy. However, my family said the name was too big for such a tiny kitten, so I shortened it to Miru, which I find sounds kind of Japanese, and therefore, very elegant. Miru is now five years old and very happy although, like the prince, she has a temper.)

Thank you Vonna. I will ask you to export the file again with the correct file name as shown in the first post of this project so it will line up properly when we catalog this book.Vonna wrote: ↑August 2nd, 2021, 1:07 pm Here's my first recording! KIND WILLIAM AND THE WATER SPRITE:

"Filename: oldfashionedfairytales_##_ewing_128kb.mp3 where ## is the section number. (e.g. oldfashionedfairytales_01_ewing_128kb.mp3)" So your file should be oldfashionedfairytales_10_ewing_128kb.mp3
Just upload it and post it here again. Thanks.

Hi Ashley. Your recording set up gets the big OK for you to record lots and lots. I did notice that the end of sentences and some words seem to drop off a lot in volume making them harder to understand. This is not a big deal but sometimes people who use noise cancelling headphones & mics have this happen so it might be good t check that. Your voice is fine and go forth and record a bunch of things!antraeger wrote: ↑August 2nd, 2021, 2:11 pm Hi again! Here is my one minute test https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_antraeger.mp3
