Looking forward to recording!
Great! You are all set to go.you!
Just click on your name in the Magic Window to see you personal catalog page where you can track all of your LV work.

BTW, these were previously abandoned sections, so we're hoping to get these done fairly quickly so we can complete the project.

Well, thanks for the quick turn around on this.

Just a couple of things that need attention:

First, there two extraneous characters in the file name at the end. 128kb00 Please remove them.
Also, your volume is quite high. Our traget is 89 dBs with a range of 86-92 dBs yours comes in at 91.9 dBs. It is technically within our range, but barely, and would sound much better if you would Amplify by = 3 dBs.

If you need any help with this, just let me know.
Upload the corrected file under the same name, and post a note here.rr

But, I think you're off to a good start!

Larry

Just to clarify, I think there's a typo (+ sign instead of -) and Larry meant to write Amplify by -3 dBs (ie, reduce the volume by 3 dBs)

Nice reading - no other comments to add to Larry's, except I think there's a typo and he intended to say 'Amplify by -3 dBs' (ie, reduce the volume by 3 dBs, not further amplify it!)

Nicely read,Emma. Thank you. A couple of points:

115 - Something very odd happens to your volume and voice around ~1.32 which varies wildly in volume, and has an odd reverb effect for the next few seconds ~ 1.38 Are you able to fix or improve this, because it's very jarring? Also, could you make the silence before Application at least 1 full sec & preferably 1.5.

116 - Repeated phrase ~ 1.56

117 and 118 - please make the silence before Application at least 1 full sec & preferably 1.5. They are two separate sections, but you are running them together without giving listeners just a little pause to consider the fable before listening to the next bit.

here is the recording of Section 044.

https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/fablesofaesop_044_128kb.mp3

Sorry about the mistake.

:D
You fixed one filenaming problem, but overlooked the other: the _aesop after 044. Please check the filenaming pattern carefully It should be, in full: fablesofaesop_044_aesop.128kb.mp3
I will comment on the volume, which at 91.2 is near the upper limit of the acceptable band. While technically acceptable, it would benefit from being lowered by 2 dB. ie, Amplify by -2
Thanks.

May I take section 79?
Yes, of course.
Thank you.
Here's my recording -- hope it's okay that I went ahead and did it before hearing an "OK" https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/fablesofaesop_079_aesop_128kb.mp3 [2:08] Matthew Royal
Hi and thanks for reading Matthew. Very nice reading, but the file does not meet basic technical specs:
- volume too soft (below 80 dB)
- your bitrate is incorrect; it must be constant (not variable) and 128 kbps as in the filename
- the silence at the end needs to be 5 secs; yours is too short
As you have been a member for a while, I assume you know how to fix these? If not, please let us know.
