Hello all … Alan here. I’m just getting started in the business of narrating audiobooks, and I’m hoping that volunteering at Librivox will keep me in practice between paying gigs. I also have a full-time career in urban planning, so narrating is something I do evenings and weekends.
Looking forward to get started!
Greetings from New York!

Hello, ahfoster, and welcome to librivox.ahfoster wrote: ↑October 3rd, 2022, 4:47 am Hello all … Alan here. I'm a retired engineer/scientist living in Cambridge UK.
I love librivox because participating has caused me to read works that I wouldn't normally touch (e.g. poetry).
And I've enjoyed playing character parts in dramatic readings.
Once you've passed your 1-minute test (https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test), jump into the forums and have fun!
If you're a musician, you might given poetry a try, as there's a lot of cross-over between the two.
You'll find a bunch of oddly assorted people here - some old (me) some brand new, I'm sure you'll find us friendly and supportive.
Regards & see you around!
Adrian
