My name is Gordie. I'm a retired middle school English teacher and avid reader. I'm looking forward to this new adventure. If all goes well, I hope to have the hardware and software ready to roll by tomorrow so I can do my 1-minute test.

Hello, Gordie, and welcome to librivox.

I'm a retired engineer/scientist living in Cambridge UK.
I love librivox because participating has caused me to read works that I wouldn't normally touch (e.g. poetry).
And I've enjoyed playing character parts in dramatic readings.
Once you've passed your 1-minute test (https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test), jump into the forums and have fun!

If you need any help or advice setting up, just ask.

Regards & see you around!
Adrian
