Hi LibriVoxers!
About me, and why I'm here:
I came across LibriVox a few months ago on YouTube, hunting for free versions of Plutarch's Lives (recommended to me by Benjamin Franklin in his autobiography) after finding my local library only had the first book available as a downloadable audiobook. I ended up losing interest anyway, but later I was watching some episodes on the "Townsends" YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/jastownsendandson) that were drawn from "The Journal of Nicholas Cresswell", and I thought hmmm, I wonder if LibriVox has that one? And what do you know - it's an open project started by another fan of the channel. So I thought I would join and see if I could help. I enjoy reading as well as listening.
And on that note, here's my 1-minute test: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=88502
Bonjour from California, eh?
Hello, mattm.
Welcome to Librivox. Thank you for being here!
It's great to see you've already done your one-minute test. However, it should be posted in the Listeners and Editors Wanted forum, where the team that checks the tests will find it.
Have a great experience in this wonderful project.
Happy recording!
