Hey everyone,

I'm a guy who likes to read, but sometimes needs a little motivation to pick up the book. Hopefully, volunteering to record can be one of my motivations! If anyone has any pieces of wisdom that you had to learn the hard way, let me know. Looking forward to getting to know some of you.

Hi Ryan and a big Welcome to LibriVox! You will enjoy being creative here as well as having fun. And you will definitely pick up a book or two. I've made a little video to welcome people; It has some basic info about us that I thought might be helpful to know right at the start. (And is packed with nuggets of wisdom, they are just hard to find and some people dispute the wisdom part) In any case ask lots of questions, we are a helpful bunch here and you will fit right in. https://youtu.be/mwtn_2d3_qs
Oh and Maria, our LibriVox pickle, can hardly contain her excitement Image that you have joined us.

Eager to get started? This video will walk you though the steps from just starting all the way to recording your first section. And get you recording quickly!! This video has links to each step. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKLWam9cfVo&t=74s

OK, but remember some of them contain bits of real information scattered amongst the chaff, so be warned. 8-)
