Hello,

My name is Keith and I'm here to introduce myself.

In a former career I was an entertainer. As a juggler, clown, and fire eater, I did street performing, worked with a circus, and even did some "legit" theater.

Retiring from that adventure, I went in to I.T. and help desk work. My current "day gig" is as a contact tracer for the state of New York. That's winding down.

Which brings me here. I've decided to pursue a long time interest in voice work, an interest that I've only flirted with in the past (although all of my previous vocations have relied heavily on my vocal skills and talents.)

So, I am here to ply my skills and learn what I need to in order to fill the gaps in my knowledge and skills.

I've already recorded my One Minute Test and uploaded it...

Sounds like an intriguing background!
This is a good place to learn some of the basics and have a lot of fun doing it.
We have a ton of tutorials on video and other "wiki" files, so there are a lot of resources and a global community ready to help. I look forward to hearing your voice!

A 'contact tracer'? that sounds like fun. Since you obviously don't have stage fright, you wll fit right in here. I've made a little video to welcome people; It has some basic info about us that I thought might be helpful to know right at the start. Just skip the stuff about 1 minute test. In any case ask lots of questions, we are a helpful bunch here and you will fit right in. https://youtu.be/mwtn_2d3_qs
Oh and Maria, our LibriVox pickle, can hardly contain her excitement Image

Eager to get started? This video will walk you though the steps from just starting all the way to recording your first section. And get you recording quickly!! This video has links to each step. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKLWam9cfVo&t=74s

It reminds me the six handshakes rule... But why is that winding down? 🀝🀝🀝🀝🀝🀝
