Hi all,
I've been a long time listener to Librivox audiobooks. I first discovered the site in 2012 when I moved into a new apartment and was looking for something to listen to while I undertook the project of assembling furniture. A quick google search of "free audiobooks" brought me here, and I've never left.
I would have started volunteering to read or proof-listen much earlier, but my line of work kept me busy and traveling--I have lived in four different countries since I first started listening to Librivox books. But now, I'm back in the US and fairly settled, and I am very excited to fill up my free time with volunteer projects I'm interested in. (I have also been doing some transcribing work for the Smithsonian.)
I've bought myself a nice USB-microphone and am about to record my 1-minute test so I can get started. I can read fluently in both English and Spanish (English is my native language).
Excited to get started and to be a part of this cool community!

Welcome Jordan,
Librivox is a great place, as you know from listening. Welcome to other aspects of the site!
