Greetings all,

My name is Paul and I reside in Arizona in the Phoenix metro area. I recently traveled several times from Arizona to the coast of Texas and listened to audiobooks to pass the time. One was John Carreyrou's, Bad Blood. I found it intriguing and most of all I enjoyed his delivery of his work. This got me thinking about book narration and so down the rabbit hole I went. I have been recording music for sometime on my DAW and play out at local wine bars mostly singing and playing guitar. As I researched the equipment need foe narration. I found I had already invested most of the money in a high end DAW. My day job is working as a Police Officer assigned to a high school. I run the school guitar club with about 28 students and just reached my fifteenth year in service.

I look forward to meeting folks who can sit isolated for hours and be ok with it, a sort of Zen like skill.

I look forward to seeing and hearing everyone's contribution to audio books.

Welcome to LibriVox Paul! It is neat of you to volunteer. At first some things may seem a bit confusing. Be patient; everything will clear up eventually. I've made a little video to welcome people and share a few things that I think are nice to know about us at the start of your adventure. Note, these are just my feelings. In any case ask lots of questions, we are a helpful bunch here and want VERY much for you to succeed. https://youtu.be/mwtn_2d3_qs
