Hello, yet another newbie

Hi everyone,
I'm Julie, and I've finally moved joining LibriVox off of the back burner of my life. Just submitted my test recording; I'm enjoying my new little Go Mic.
Back in high school and college in the '80s, I volunteered at radio stations in that served blind and visually impaired people, and I have fond memories of going into a recording booth and using the old-school tape reels. I had no involvement with editing the recordings, except for using the little button that muted coughs, but I felt very professional using that. I'm excited to learn to record and edit from home.
It's great that this is such a thriving place, with new volunteers popping up every day. I'm looking forward to reading and listening.
