I came across LibriVox somewhat by accident, while I was looking for audio books, and was pleased to see that one can volunteer. Having been 'around the block' a few times in my life, I spent 25 years in Washington, DC, before moving up to the quieter Vermont--though not quite rural, since I live near Dartmouth College. Having been a very timid reader in my childhood, I found that I thoroughly enjoyed reading alout as an adult. Matt

Welcome!

I would escape to Vermont if I could. But I shouldn't complain about my home. I'm from Wisconsin now and we get four seasons here too.

Of course, the old joke is that Wisconsin has just two seasons: winter and road repair!

Welcome to LibriVox Matt from the swamps of Louisiana! Seasons? what are you talking about? Anyway, we want you to have fun here but at first it may seem a bit confusing. Be patient; everything will clear up eventually. I've made a little video to welcome people and share a few things that I think are nice to know about us at the start of your adventure. Note, these are just my feelings. In any case ask lots of questions, we are a helpful bunch here and want VERY much for you to succeed. https://youtu.be/mwtn_2d3_qs
