Knitting is big here so you'll surely find someone to talk with, (once you're between reading sections of text, of course ).
Anyway, please read the welcome email you've received. You'll find there links to materials that will help you get started. The first thing to do if you're interested in reading, is recording and uploading the 1-minute test. Once it's OKed, you're free to record; just head to the Readers Wanted area and see which projects are in need of readers, read the first post in the thread, then claim a section.
