Greetings from Las Vegas!

I totally new to librivox, and not much voiceover experience at all. I did make a test (but cannot find it on the forum.) Pretty sure the test is the wrong bitrate. I would love some feedback on the audio.

I'm using garage band, and apple headphones at the moment, but will be getting a USB mic shortly.

I am thinking of trying out for the short work poetry, as a way to get started. The Kipling project looks particularly interesting.

Any and all recommendations would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Hello, Vegasbaker!

Welcome to LibriVox! We're happy to have you.

I'm not a VO too. I'm doing it as a hobby.

About the test, you need to post the recording link to Listeners & Editors Wanted. Here's a video tutorial by Phil: https://youtu.be/9oTSlFSoEeY

2 things I share in my welcome message are:
1) Checker Program. It checks all the tech specs of the recording. You can check the bitrate with it as well.
2) A wiki with all the Instructional Videos (https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Instructional_Videos) that you might need in the future.

We're a friendly community so feel free to ask questions. Someone is sure to help you.
Constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks, SaraHale. :D
