Happy to be here and ready to get started recording some audio! I am a podcaster and an on-course announcer for our local race track (the boring legal bits not the exciting bits about the races) and have done plenty of piecemeal voice-over work. I am originally from Canada but my accent moves all over the place at times, usually Canadian foundation leaning toward British. I am a long time listener of audio books and love audio in general.

The challenge for me will be doing longer recordings as that is the area I lack experience. Feedback or comments are always welcome!

I see you already did your one-minute-test and have gotten feedback and advice. Good way to start. As soon as your technical settings are LV standard, you are ready to roll.

oh I can understand that. I am more the poetry-type as well, since long recordings tire me out too, and strain my voice. Also, the editing process is quite long, so for short poems, the time required for post-processing is much shorter than for long chapters I would definitely recommend you start with a shorter section and work your way up

I have rerecorded my test recording but am having trouble logging in
The message comes up that I have exceeded my login attempts and must answer a question (phil Benson) but when the question is answered it returns to exceeded your login attempts.

Could someone help?

Have you used this user name and password ?



Maybe you need to clean your browser cache, that has saved a previous wrong password

Thats the password I used. Worked the last time I will try cleaning the cache.

so JayKitty can have a second listen and give you feedback. Always best to post the tests in the correct forum.

Audacity is a good choice, I use it myself. It's easy to handle.
