Happy to be here and ready to get started recording some audio! I am a podcaster and an on-course announcer for our local race track (the boring legal bits not the exciting bits about the races) and have done plenty of piecemeal voice-over work. I am originally from Canada but my accent moves all over the place at times, usually Canadian foundation leaning toward British. I am a long time listener of audio books and love audio in general.

The challenge for me will be doing longer recordings as that is the area I lack experience. Feedback or comments are always welcome!

hello and a warm welcome to the forum :)

I see you already did your one-minute-test and have gotten feedback and advice. Good way to start. As soon as your technical settings are LV standard, you are ready to roll.

oh I can understand that. I am more the poetry-type as well, since long recordings tire me out too, and strain my voice. Also, the editing process is quite long, so for short poems, the time required for post-processing is much shorter than for long chapters ;) I would definitely recommend you start with a shorter section and work your way up

Have fun !
