Name is Don Kyle and I am very excited to be part of this group. I am a avid listener of audio books and podcasts, and have been very interested in becoming a narrator of audiobooks. I am retiring soon and looking to be engaged in niche social media and YouTube and have been gathering needed equipment. I just set-up my Rode Podcaster and I'm ready to start recording. Hi Don, welcome to the forum fun. It sounds as you are amply prepared to start recording.
The best thing to start is doing a one minute test which you can post here: viewforum.php?f=21 and someone will come along and give you feedback. Once you passed the test and all your technical settings are up to LV standard, you can participate in any project on offer: poetry, prose, non-fiction, drama, whatever strikes your fancy.
There's plenty available.
