Regards Librivoxers! so much information here for us newbies! must confess that its a bit overwhelming.
Getting right at it though

I am from Vancouver B.C. and fluent in English and Spanish. Looking forward to working with both languages.

Thanks for all the support and help I will be getting from all you kind and experienced users out there.

Welcome aboard . There's no need to read it all, you can pick it up when you need it :D You've already managed to register, and post a new thread in the right forum. If you are planning to read, the next hudle is the 1 minute test - technical stuff, it's not an audition. Its linked in your welcome email, the first post of group projects and in th LV wiki (linked top of the page
And remember , this is meant to be fun, and LVers love helping others if they get stuck.

I'm glad you posted, Annise. The email I got said the one-minute test is for prospective readers. I don't recall seeing it mentioned in the instructions for listeners. I've been perplexed, looking through the site for the next step.

Thanks!

schipdog - listeners don't need to do the 1-minute test. :)

Oops, I misread that.

Soooo, what is the next step for a newbie who wants to start listening?

PROOF-listening or just plain ol' listening for enjoyment?

For proof-listening, check out these two links:

https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=ProofListening_tips_and_quiz

For enjoyment only, download stuff from the catalog (please don't listen to in-progress works unless you're proof-listening). :)

TriciaG, I sent you a PM this morning. When you are able, would you give it a look?

Thanks for your previous responses.
