Hi Everybody,

I'm a new volunteer. I've been planning to contribute for a long time now, and finally have the time since I've graduated. Librivox saved my sanity when I was a student with a long commute and couldn't afford audible. I love reading, and can't wait to get started.

Welcome Lauren. What a sweet thing to say. Truth is, not only does Audible cost money, but Librivox offers a lot of the material that Audible does not and never will! My take on it is if I listen every waking hour, I will never have enough listening time to scratch the surface of LV's collection and all the great podcasts out there, so even tho I can afford Audible in my retirement years, I don't need to spend that money. If there is a more modern audiobook I must have, I can pick it up at the library.
