Hey,

i got introduced to LibriVox via a colleague on a funny conversation about reading books to kids and all sorts of funny sounds, or voices you have to make for greater attention span. That's when he explained me how cool this site is and a platform to actually read books to people. So here I am.. hope to learn a lot while reading and interacting with you all.

I strongly suspect that funny voices would be the only way I'll ever get through Moby-Dick or War and Peace. Anyway -- welcome to LibriVox! Gratitudes to the person who suggested it to you, and I hope you enjoy yourself here. Please do just ask if you have any questions.

Speaking of funny voices, my Mom just celebrated her 97th birthday, after which in inherited 8 mylar balloons filled with helium. They are slowly leaking out but I'm still wracking my brain what I could read that required a bit of a hi-pitched cartoon voice. Maybe I'll post this to one of the forums for suggestions.
