Aloha LibriVox volunteers,
My name is Natasha, and I am excited to finally start recording for Librivox! I love reading and really enjoy reading to my children. I remember listening to recorded books as a child, but I didn't know until recently that, nowadays, adults read to adults the way adults read to children! I hadn't listened to an audiobook in years, and when I started listening again, the book was super boring. My husband was listening to something in Audible and couldn't stop going on and on about how awesome the voice actor was. I tried again with a random book from a free audiobook podcast, and it rocked my world! Not only did the story turn out to be intriguing, but the narrator was amazing! The first time he altered his voice to sound like an old lady, I burst out laughing! I like to alter my voice when I read to my kids, but it blew my mind that an adult was reading like that to me. I've been addicted to audiobooks since then, and I love them so much that I want to try and contribute. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.
On a side note, I see that I'm the only one in the forum right now lol...I'm sure the time difference will make this adventure even more interesting.
