Hello to all. I guess you could say I'm in the minority here as I signed up not to read (dyslexia gets the better of me on that point) but to design covers (I'm a graphic artist/illustrator by trade) - which is a bit ironic considering I'm based in Hollywood, California, ha! I listen to LibriVox books while I work, they add a lot to my day, so I thought I would give back the only way I am able - by lending artistic abilities where needed. I'm looking forward to working on a few covers and chatting with some of the fine folks here. - KC

Welcome!
I'm looking forward to seeing some covers by you!!
I also initially signed up not to read. Friends tell me I'm a good listener so I signed up to do proof-listening
I hope you enjoy it here!

My sincere thank you to you both!
I've already started work on the cover of 'On Virginity' - it's given me a chance to do some hand-rendered Victorian-esque lettering so it proves to be a fun project. I didn't see any cover templates for Photoshop, so I'm using a standard CD template from a record label I work with (it includes a bleed but I'll crop it to 300 exact before submitting), I hope this will okay . Also, I'm unclear as to whether I need to do a matching Jewel-case card with the track line-up or not but when I get closer to finishing the cover I will post this question in thread link you gave me.
Rapunzelina, it is rare to find a good listener here in Hollywood (everyone has a voice but no one has ears  ), glad to see that some still exist in the world! Keep up the important work
Again, thank you both and I look forward to my time here.

Hi, KC. I've been doing LV covers for a few years and got fascinating with the origami cases. I designed an original Template with instructions on how the designer can add the artwork and text, how to fold it, and how to cut it up to make CD case inserts. They are stored at the following links on Internet Archive for anyone to download. As far as I know I'm the only one using it on LV, but it works well and I fold one up for every cover I design and have them in a box for friends and family to look through. It's a lot of fun!

Here's a sample of how my CD Case insert displays in the LV catalog. Click the 2nd link under the covers. The first cover is 5 x 5, the smaller one is 4.75 x 4.75 to fit inside the front of the CD case.

Hi Michele,
I am quite late checking in on this thread, for that I apologize. I never got email notice that a new post was made, it was just a fluke that I decided to check old posts tonight. I really like your origami idea, with it the recording info and track line-up has breathing room (unlike my attempt at squeezing a U-Haul trailer load of information onto an already claustrophobic match-box of a back-card of 'THE BOOKMAN.' Funny though, I don't have or use Word (being a graphic designer on a Mac, I have little need for it) but I can use the PDF from the existing books you cited as templates anyway. I appreciate your turning me onto this unique template method, I may give it a whorl soon.
And I like your design work, keep on spreading that origami magic!
