also, it would be great if you completed your test recording before getting to recording. this is not an audition, but an easy way for us to make sure there arent any technical problems - it is easier to sort those out before than after

Will do! I've got my Audacity set up to the proper channels and everything sounds good so the test recording should go smoothly — I hope.
