Hello from London!

Hi
My name is Sarah, I’m British and live in London, I work as a civil servant.
I think LibriVox is a brilliant project. In the later years of her life, my granny went blind and used to receive tapes of audio books and the spoken newspaper from the local Royal Institute for the Blind - but the selection was fairly limited and given that this was a few years ago, the process of receiving and returning tapes meant that the turn around was fairly slow too. I think this is a brilliant way of providing many more resources to those who prefer or need to listen to literature. I’m also especially interested in this as I have taught English as a second language and think this is another useful resource for learners. More generally, I just love the spirit of open access and global community so I would love to contribute, and I was also told I have an easily understood voice by some Chilean friends of mine!
I hope you are all having a great start to the new year!
Sarah
