Hi, I'm from the US and am interested in contributing horror, children's literature, and poetry.

Trying to get in on the Weekly Poetry to start.

I've been listening to Librivox for a year or so; favorites include "The King in Yellow", "Ghost Stories of an Antiquary", "China and the Chinese" and a few stories from "Sunshine Stories of A Little Town", as well as "The Invisible Man" and "The Happy Prince and Other Tales."

Welcome, Metoikos.

Horror, children's literature and poetry.............hmmmm.......

The scary fairy had a canary,
She bit off its head with her teeth.
She said with a grin,
as blood dripped from her chin,
From its tweeting I now get relief!

Oh, sorry. Metoikos, you said contributing not combining!

Just my little joke - no offence intended.

Seriously, as a newcomer here myself, all I can say is a hearty welcome and ENJOY yourself. This is a fun place!

Good to have you hear, metoikos!

Please do just ask as questions come up -- lots of answers can be found in the wiki but sometimes it's good to ask here in the forums anyway -- to save long-time hunting, and sometimes because new answers appear that hadn't previously been voiced.

Mainly, though, Enjoy!
There's honestly no such thing as a stupid question -- but I'm afraid I can't rule out giving a stupid answer : : To Posterity and Beyond!

Hi, come on and join in!

Once you've gotten the hang of things, there are several projects you might join in on. There's a collection of short horror stories going, plenty of places for poetry, and some children's lit projects. Enjoy yourself!
