This is Robert in Fukuoka, Japan.
I'm a native Kansan, (center of the USA), who has been living here in Fukuoka for the past 15 years, teaching Engish.
I love listening to books on my iPod. I've been an audible book club member for a year, and jsut recently I've found these free books here at Librivox.
Now I'd like to try and do some recording myself.
Actually I've tried to "claim" a chapter of "Main Street" which I found in the Librivox forum, but I haven't gotten a reply yet to my offer/request.
Well, I'll try another one.

Another way you can help is to proof-listen to a chapter or two of something that's nearly ready to be catalogued. Head over to the "Listeners and Editors Wanted" forum, check out the FAQ up top, then claim a chapter! It's fun, and usually pretty easy.
