There is no automatic notification system when a file is uploaded; you have to post and tell us the link of the file you sent. :)

See the section on uploading, here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test for instructions.

If you've forgotten the link or didn't save it, go ahead and upload your file again, this time saving the link to post in a new thread. :)

WELL I FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHERE TO PUT MY MESSAGE. BUT YAY I AM HERE :D I STUMBLED ON THE LIVRIBOX SITE BECAUSE I AM USING AUDIOBOOKS MORE AND MORE SINCE MY EYESIGHT WAS AFFECTED BY A SMALL STROKE. AND OF COURSE NOW I AM ADDICTED. I AM GOING TO BE 70 IN DECEMBER SO OF COURSE MANY OF THE AUTHORS ARE VERY FAMILIAR TO ME. I WANT TO DO THIS BECAUSE I TOO BELIEVE THAT ALL BOOKS SHOULD BE FREE TO EVERYONE. AND THAT'S IT. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO FURTHER AND SEE WHAT I SHOULD DO NEXT.

Hi, Phil! Thanks for the videos. It is wayyy too late for me to understand downloading software tonight, so I think I'll go looking for that incredibly boring stuff to put me to sleep! I'll have my husband help me tackle the software stuff tomorrow, especially since I have a Mac and may need some recording equipment. What you show in your videos is very professional looking. Do we need that?

Anyway, thanks for getting me started.

Glad to have you with us Trish. The first rule is : BE PATIENT WITH YOURSELF. This is a new skill you are learning and takes a bit of time. You are welcome for the videos; I enjoy making them.

Equipment: Nah! All I have is a nice microphone and a computer and a free audio editing program. Most microphones will do if they have a USB plug in. I can't help too much with Macs but many of our recorders use them so post questions in our Need Help? forum. watch the video on Forums by the way, it explains a bunch of stuff. oh... and have FUN!
