I am a mother of two and retired and find I have alot of time sometimes. Seems this could be an interesting if not fun thing to get into. Plus, I could get back into readng myself. Don't know how I found this site..but lookin forward to helping out.

Thanks,
Sandi

Hi Sandi - delighted you found us!

There are several ways to volunteer here. One thing we're always in need of is proof-listeners - we like to listen to recorded works for long silences, repeats, and (sometimes) stumbles or mis-read words before releasing them to the catalog: check out the Listeners and Editors Wanted forum. (Read the FAQ at the top of the forum before jumping in!)

If you're interested in reading, take a look at the Newbie Guide to Recording up in our wiki. It's got all kinds of useful infrmation in it.

Enjoy yourself!
