Hello all. My name is Sam, and I live in Florida (I apologize for my lack of a regional dialect). I am 16, and I have been reading (though not aloud) for quite a bit of that time. I have been looking at Librivox for a while and just got my first mic today. If all goes well I will sign up for something soon. :)

Welcome, Sam! Glad to have you here at Librivox. I wish we had some Dracula chapters left for you, but we just finished assigning them. But there are lots of other books. About a gazillion, actually.

Welcome to librivox, Sam! Whenever you're ready, just go claim a chapter of something and let us know if you have any questions.
We've recently had a request for "books for teenagers" -- if you're browsing through http://gutenberg.org and you see something that you think would appeal to teens especially, let us know and we'll start a new project.
Happy reading!

Thanks for the welcomes. I regret that I missed out on Dracula; I should have grabbed something while I was lurking around waiting for the mic to arrive. I'll keep my eye out for something on Gutenberg, Kara. I'm currently trying to figure out how not to sound like I am recording in the Coliseum
Sam -- I have one more chapter of Dracula pending -- ch. 24. I will donate it it you if you'd like it! I have _plenty_ on my plate to keep me busy, heheh. Just let Paula know if you'd like to read it.
If you're having trouble with recording quality, you could upload a small sample for us to hear. Someone can probably steer you in the right direction.

There's no reason to restrict ourselves to just one version of Dracula or any work. Seems to me that if enough people are interested, we can record until everyone gets to do every work they want.

Welcome, Sam! It's really great to see younger people getting involved here! I hope you've found yourself something appealing to sign up for. Have fun reading!
