Hello everyone,

First of all I would like to say that I really like this idea of an international free audio book network, well done.

I am currently earning my second degree on social work, previously I had worked in television as well as graphics design. As I am an avid reader (and sometimes writer), I look forward to helping out with some reading soon :-)

Welcome Cindi! I'm looking forward to hearing you. Check out the newbie guide to recording here:

And there are also people designng cd covers for the recordings. You can see the thread here:

There are already a few made up.

Enjoy! :)

Hi Cindi, and welcome!

Once you get yourself a microphone and some software, I'd like to suggest you try out the Weekly Poetry selection as a quick'n'easy way to get started. It'll let you familiarize yourself with the setup, and let us identify any technical issues you might unknowingly have.

Enjoy yourself - I look forward to hearing your voice!

Hi everyone,

Thanks for making me feel so welcomed, and thanks for all the tips as well. I will definitely look into doing some of the shorter recordings once I got the equipment set up. Looking forward to working with all of you :D
