Welcome krhettn! A good place to start recording is the short stories or weekly poetry as they are nice and short so you can test your recording setup:

Another good place is the Listeners wanted thread. You get to have a seek peek at whats comming:

Have fun! :)

Welcome - great to have you!

If you haven't made recordings before, you might want to check out the Newbie Guide to Recording, up in the Guides for Listeners and Volunteers (linked at the top of every forum page). :) Have fun - I look forward to hearing your voice!

Hi. Can you please stick your mic out of the window and record some seconds of hawaiian air? I wanna listen to that...for a daydream or two.
Seriously.

Amen to what Stephan said.

Or some recordings of luau music! Heck yeah.
In my experience, nothing ruins a party like someone suddenly speaking Latin in reverse.

Stephan: Hm... maybe if I record something, I could pick something set on a tropical island and get the breeze in the background :-)

But, I don't know how to do the recording yet, so I was hoping to do other volunteering at least at first until I figure that out.

No problemo. Please remember us when you got the setup - we crave for a bit hawaii.
