Hiya! Lotte Claire from San Francisco -- future English teacher, current blogger, avid reader, audiophile extraordinaire. I've been in love with talk radio, podcasts, and audiobooks for ages. And now I can get awesome literature read to me for free! *joy* I also acted a bit in high school, and see volunteering here as a chance to get back into performing.

So -- nice to meet y'all!

Welcome Lotte! You may want to try out the weekly poetry for starters, They are usualy nice and short and gives you a chance to test your recording setup to make sure you have no technical glitches. :)

Happy reading!
"Reasonable people adapt themselves to the world. Unreasonable
people attempt to adapt the world to themselves. All progress,
therefore, depends on unreasonable people." George Bernard Shaw

Hi Lotte! I live just down the Peninsula from you - we're practically neighbors. :)

You'll find some useful information over in our wiki:

http://www.librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi

particularly down in the Newbie Guide to Recording, if you've not done recordings before.

Glad to have you, and I look forward to hearing your voice!
