Oh welcome! Welcome!
I shake your hands (I'm American).
I kiss your cheeks (you're French).
I sit down to listen (though I don't understand French, how I love the sound of it!).

Yes, please help us make LibriVox even more friendly.
Stephan will surely ask you to help with translations (he's working so hard on internationalizing LibriVox).
David will surely ask you to read The Declaration of Human Rights in French (he simply will).

Delighted you are here!

Hello Manga-Man, and welcome!

You are right, we do very much need some recordings in French. And we also like recordings in English by people from all over, with various accents and styles, so please don't feel you can only record in your native tongue.

We are hoping to record the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in as many languages as we can, and with multiple versions of each language. In the first post of the project thread, there is a link to the UN site that has the translations. Hopefully all is clear, but please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions at all.

If (as I guess from your username) you are interested in things Japanese, we have a completed collection of haiku ( http://librivox.org/oku-no-hosomichi-by-matsuo-bash?/ ), a work-in-progress of the Tale of Genji ( http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2051 ) and three books in English about Japan that are being recorded now ( http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2705 , http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2741 and http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=361 ).

For my pseudo it's just i love watching anime and read manga (but i m not good to create :( )
For the declaration of the Declaration of Human Rights in French i think i gonna make it. If think it is very important to have this text in the most language possible.
For the recording in english i can not do this : im very bad in english (difficult to write in the forum) and my accent is HORRIBLE.
I have start a solo project, it a children litterature with some short novel : it is a practice to me before start most difficult book.
And thank for your acceuil

I do hope you will continue to write in English sometimes in the forums.
I very much love reading your French accent (your way with words).

I hope you take this as my trying to help, and not trying to correct you. Acceuil in English is "welcome"

Oh, that *is* helpful!
Manga-Man could continue to use French words here and there when he posts in English...
Kri and others could translate those...
and folks like me could have petite French lessons.
:)

Bonjour Manga-Man et bienvenu ! :D

Ezwa

PS : and for those who do not read French and want to understand :
G'day M-M and welcome!
There is a collaborative project in French , as Kri said. All the chapters have a reader at present but a few will probably soon become orphan chapters (no news received for quite a while).
So, feel free to join us, in French if you want at http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=212
Hugh should have some orphan letters soon (we read ten at a time. They usually are pretty short).
See you soon for a collaborative project?
