I've been listening to audiobooks for years, and have been reading aloud to my wife and child on cartrips, at bedtime, etc. for even longer. So LibriVox seems like a great place to do something I love doing anyway. I'm looking forward to my first solo, but I'll do a few works in the short story collections first.
I've lived in Texas most of my life, but I'm told I don't have a distinctive "Texas accent". I guess we'll see if that carries over to here.
Comments and criticism are welcome on the test:

So...hello. I've been reading the forums for awhile. It's good to finally post something.
Hello from Texas
Hello and welcome, Christopher!
Bitrate, sample rate, mono channel and volume all correct. No p-p-plosives, and a lovely relaxed reading style. Well done!
Not strictly necessary, but it sounds even better with a little touch of light noise-cleaning (Effect | Noise Removal). I used the settings 15 dB; 150 Hz; 0.01 ms and it came out a treat.
You are all ready to go and find yourself something to record.
