Hi fellow reader's. My name is Rebecca and I reside in the European Capital of Culture 2008, Liverpool, UK!!

I heard about Librivox about half an hour ago on a radio programme on the BBC for blind and partially sighted people, 'In Touch'. I thought it sounded an absolutely wonderful idea and am looking to getting my larynx around my first chapter!

Best wishes to you all,

Rebecca xx

Welcome to LibriVox, Rebecca! I believe you're our very first Liverpudlian! Let me recommend that you drop by Readers Wanted: Short Works and sign up for one of Aesop's Fables. They're great pieces to begin a LibriVox career with; they're short and very easy to read and they provide an excellent place to learn how LibriVox recordings are done.

As I type this, there are still four of them unclaimed... ;)

I'm glad you dropped in, Rebecca; it's always good to hear a fresh voice in the mix!

Wow it seems like there's been a large influx of new members lately.

Welcome rebecca. Good to have you aboard.

Heehee, that was my question :) Lay it on nice and thick, Rebecca!
