Hello everybody!

My name is Julia. I've been told through the years that I should work as a voice-over artist. It's happened too many times for me to not give it a whirl. And what better way to start than to read books! A friend referred me to LibriVox so I'm excited to get started. I've worked as a Senior Multimedia Producer, Final Cut editor, songwriter, musician, and technical trainer among other roles.

I'm also starting to create a portfolio of music cues to get into composing music for videos, animations, and other projects. I've been dabbling in experimental soundscape textures and have a SoundCloud account as a portfolio:

Reading audiobooks feels like a natural next step for me to delve into voiceovers. Glad to be here and I'm excited to get feedback and learn.

Hi Julia! Welcome here! May I suggest you go here first viewforum.php?f=18 then post your one minute test and get approval (here's the link for that http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test) and THEN sign up for a chapter in one of the books you will find in the Readers Wanted thread. I hope you will consider doing a chapter in one of the three books listed below which you can access by clicking on the link below!
Best,
Christine
