Linda (and Karen)

There is a thread in Volunteers Wanted, Other Projects devoted to CD covers. Here is the link. A CD cover using some of your pics from the Grand Canyon would be lovely, Linda. Please be aware though that you will be putting your design and whatever photos you use into the public domain as part of the LibriVox site.

I am using Audacity to record and edit. The program crashes and tells me it has saved files in temporary format.

Any what the steps are so that I can retreive the temporary files and continue from that point on?

I saved part of my reocrding as an MP3 before the latest crash.

May I send it to you for a critique and also for a lesson on how to send you the final product?

Hi, Geofred - I caught your pm first, and my suggestion to go to the "help/advice" forum still holds good.

The additional info posted here causes me to wonder whether you are using the "Beta" version of Audacity, which is newer, but less stable. If that is the case, I think the concensus is that the "Beta" version should currently be used only for noise cleaning. If they use Beta at all, they have both versions downloaded, and use the non-Beta version for recording and any other editing, and then if noise cleaning is needed, they shut down the non-Beta and boot up the Beta to use just for noise cleaning. Hope this helps, but do consult the forum. :)

Geofred, I am so sorry I missed this post! :(
My projects don't often move as fast as this one has, and when I responded to new posts at the end of the thread, I just didn't go back far enough.

And Brian kindly offered to relinquish. Thank you, Brian.

In the meantime, Brian has completed 7, and geofred is signed up for 13. I hope this is satisfactory to you both.

Thank you, jo, for Sec 2, and Brian for Sec 8 - I'll be proofing them in the next few days. I've updated the window.
