Karen,

Chapter 1 is recorded and just needs editing. Meanwhile could you put me down for Chapter 2 Mesas and Buttes?

Thanks!

I'd love to do part/chapter 6 - Flaming Gorge to Gates of Lodore. I've actually floated that particular stretch of river several times. This would be my first Librivox reading.

Welcome to LibriVox, Doug.

Back in the early 70's, I did cataract canyon, and later, the Grand Canyon, although on motorized rafts. It was a real thrill to imagine being Powell and his party, with scarce resources, challenging work, and unknown terrain.

Part 6 is yours. Since this is your first recording, would you like some feedback? You could do the first few minitues of your section, post it, and I will give it a listen.

Now that I am done with those, how about letting me do the next two open sections, 7 & 8 I believe? I am doing some other thigs, but this is a good book and one I have always had on my "to read" list. I will have to listen to the other chapters later so I can get what I've missed.

If y'all are interested, I can make a CD cover with liner notes for the book. I just went to the Grand Canyon last month and took lots of photos.

That would be great! :) I know I've read his posts, but I don't remember who takes orders for cd's, can anyone help me here? Or you could post your offer in the Help and advice thread! :)

I am curious about why I did not get a response when I asked to read section 7 before it was assigned to Bzness? Is there a step I missed.

If someone else had precedence on Section 07, I am perfectly happy to take another free section. I haven't started on 07 yet.

Thanks,

Bryan

Hi geofred, no you didn't miss a step, however its better if you post what section you want to claim in your main post as people tend to overlook the subject bit of a post. :) Plus as your post was on the bottom of the 2nd page it may just have gotten overlooked.
