I would enjoy doing the poet voices if that's alright.
Very best, Aaron.
Very best, Aaron.
Thank you, isilen, that would be great. Could you make a small sample recording first, just as a quick check of your equipment settings? I only ask because I see this is your first post, and there are a few small, easy-to-change problems that can be caught and corrected from a test, and it's nice to do that.isilen wrote:My friend and I would like to volunteer to do a chorus of Eden spirits and Earth spirits.
Please pardon me for this very late response.
Oh -- and when the recording goes into the catalogue, what name shall we use for you in the credits? (Folks often use their real name; sometimes people use their LibriVox user name instead.) And do you have a url you'd like the name linked to?
Same questions for your friend who is reading.

I'd like to do the Youthful Voices, if thats ok.
I'm kinda confused... where are the scene breaks?
What's this little box thingy for? Oh! COLOR
Despite the original BC's notes in post 1, it seems that this has only about 6 or so scenes.ab2525 wrote:I'm kinda confused... where are the scene breaks?
Each scene begins with the narrator saying "Scene." and then the name of the scene.
Does that make sense? (I'm away till next Thursday.)

Dimwitted of me was to leave very outdated uploading information on the top post. I'll change that right now and move your wonderful file to the ad - a.r.dobbs directory on the LVUploader.
Thank you very much indeed!

The role sold itself with its name.
I'd love to read Philosophic Voices if you'll have me.

Thanks so much.
Edit: how very gratifying to hear your sample test. That was my humble composition intended to expose any plosives in the shadows. I look forward to your Philosophic contribution and wager it'll be much more interesting to read and to listen to.
Oh, and yes: lovely recording. You're set!

Oscar Wilde's Florentine Tragedy & Sainte Courtisane - Come and join in!
I wonder if we could finish the reading for this project by summer's end (mid-September), and finish the editing for it by autumn's end (mid-December).
I encourage folks who enjoy this text to read for more than one part (though it's nice if you don't have a dialogue with yourself, as it were).
...also...
Would readers for the following parts please contact me?
(I'll send a PM to each reader as well posting here.)
16 Narrator
17 Chorus of Eden Spirits
x22 Angel Chorus
25 Morning Star
28 Earth-Spirits
...also...
Metaflower, please forgive me. It seems I entirely overlooked your post of July 1, asking to do the Youthful Voices. I will PM in case you've given up on this MC ever responding to you -- so very sorry. Please let me know if you're still interested. We'd love you to read the part!
Edit:
19 River-Spirit -- yay! reader still aboard!
