Ok, these are now complete. It took me a few minutes to realize that I'd gotten the order screwed up, so I've now uploaded a completely fresh set of these things.
Outline:With no written language, Native Americans living in the Lake Superior region passed their cultural identity down through the generations by way of stories. Far more than mere tales to amuse children, they passed along the collective wisdom of the tribes. In the 1830s, government Indian Agent and ethnologist Henry R Schoolcraft learned the language of these people and went out to collect and preserve their stories before the tribes disappeared under the westward rush of American civilization. Though these stories were recast as children's fairy tales in the 1920s, they contain much of the old wisdom of a culture which has largely disappeared.

An excellent recording. I've been listening to it at work, so I may have missed some things, but I did catch a double sentence.
This is in part 5: The Boy Who Snared The Sun. At about 1:06 into the file, the sentence "The teepee, as the Indians call a tent, was covered with the thick, rough skin of the buffalo." The sentence is then repeated with "..thick, tough skin..." I assume one is a misread, though honestly, it took me a couple times to tell the difference because you read them with almost exactly the same inflections. Good work.
I'll let you know if I hear anything else. I have to say you have a wonderful voice for this. I'd love to hear you do a reading of a creepy story like "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow".

Two minor things in part 6: How the Summer Came.
At 1:32 there is quick cut at the end of sentence. The word "moons" sounds like it almost gets cut off and there is no space between it and the beginning of the next sentence. No words missing as far as I can tell, though.
At 11:10 it sounds like you had paused recording and came back with the word "Unless". The beginning of the word is quite a bit louder than the end and the rest of the sentence. Not sure if this was an equpment adjustment, but a little editing (fade up from 50 or 70 percent to full over the course of the word) should take care of it.
I have listened to all files through number 6 pretty closely. Those and the duplicate sentence in number 5 are the only problems I've found. I should finish proof-listening by the end of the day today.

well, i'm an idiot and forgot that this hadn't been totally proof-listened, and just started the big upload...

Yeah, I caught both of those but there's really nothing to be done with either of them. The only reasonable option is to re-record those chunks, and it's essentially impossible to get them to match right. I did the best I could with them at the time and just let them be. Thanks for catching them though!
