Spanish Poetry Collection 002

This is an open collection: you may submit any recording of a Spanish language, public domain poem without claiming it first. This collection will consist of ten poems. When this collection is full, another will be begun.

Recording Information
At the beginning, read the abbreviated "librivox disclaimer":
"[Título del poema], por [autor], grabado para LibriVox punto ORG por [su nombre]" or some variation on that, adding date, location, your personal url, if you wish.

At the end say: "Fin del poema. Esta grabación es del dominio público." and leave a few seconds of silence.

If you are using a poem you found at elaleph.com, please be courteous and acknowledge that they provided you with the text.
Puede decir, "El texto de este poema se puede hallar en elaleph punto com," o algo similar.

Technical Details
Please be sure that your recording software is set to the following technical specifications:
Bit Rate: 128 kbps
Sample Rate: 44100 kHzs

Save your recording as an mp3 file using the following filename and ID3 tag format:

File name all in lowercase: [poem's title]_[author's last name]_[your initials].mp3
(e.g. ati_silva_apc.mp3)

ID3 tags (version 2):

Title: Poem Title (e.g. A Tí)
Artist: Author Name (e.g. José Asunción Silva)
Album: LibriVox Spanish Poetry 002
Genre: Speech
(You can put "Recorded by ...." in the Comments section if you wish)

• If you have your own server space, post the link here. Please leave the file in this location until the project is catalogued. Even better, upload the file to the LibriVox Uploader, see below.

If the poem is in Spanish, just record it (as per the specifications in the first post), upload it and post a link to it here in the thread.

If the poem is in some other language (say Portuguese), it should go in the Multilingual Poetry Collection

Perfect fluency is not a requirement for doing any recording (else I'd never have been allowed to submit to some of the French projects), so go for it!

I find the topic too wide to get decided on anything. I looked at the Gutenberg link but there were all sorts of texts in Spanish and the only ones I recognized as short poems were the Rimas from Becquer.

It would be easier if you would constrain the scope (an author, a style, a topic, a collection...) Would you mind sending me a couple of links to poems you would like to have recorded? I could work on these.

We don't put constraints on the poetry collections. But if you need help picking something, give me some clues... are you more interested in classical poetry or more contemporary stuff? European or Latin American? If I know what you're interested in, I can point you to some different websites.
