I asked my librarian about the noise, and she said, "no one would come here
if they weren't allowed to talk out loud." So I read out loud.

Spot PL OK!

Section 5 - PL OK also!
It was really nice interspersing all the quotations with the Leaves of Grass quotations - some really interesting ones!

And another one PL OK! Nice insights from Carpenter - even from my point of view having not read any of the poems

Both Sections (8 and 9) are fine other than their volume. Section 8 is 92.7dB, and Section 9 is 92.4dB. If you could change the volume on both so they fall within 86-92, then it will be PL OK.

Thanks, Jake. I will amplify. Volume seems to vary from one book to another... maybe reflecting how I feel about the book

Here's the last one:

Am thinking of recording a poem or so from Narcissus (found the bibliography) as "first chapters".

8 and 9 now PL OK!

And the last section is in, and you'll be happy to know it's PL OK! And was a very interesting listen. It did not tell me anything particularly new, but it's interesting to see the way Carpenter says things about Whitman's personal life without directly saying it... but actually it was more direct than I expected.

And you're DONE! Well done.
I look forward to hearing some poems from Narcissus in the future

I've posted Earth's Voices, a long poem, to short poetry collection 220.
Thanks for all your help. I guess the rest is up to Tricia, to catalogue? I don't do book covers.

Right.

"Days with Walt Whitman" is a contemplative summary of the life of Walt Whitman and the making of the poet, by one of his followers. Edward Carpenter collected a half dozen essays he had written about different aspects of the American poet's work and habits. The essays have an ecstatic but grounded style, elevating Whitman to immortality, and showcasing Carpenter's familiarity with ancient Sanskrit texts.

How's that? Or shld I do research?
