The Voyage of the Pax, by Dom Bede Camm (1864-1942)

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-voyage-of-the-pax-by-dom-bede-camm/
An amazing allegorical story about the journey to Heaven, using the image of a journey across the water in a ship named The Pax. St. Benedict's Rule helps to keep the travelers faithful to their goal. They encounter storms, monsters, and enticing islands along the way... if you were in the ship, would you stay the course through all the temptations? (Summary by Mozartjr)
Source text (please read only from this text!): https://archive.org/details/TheVoyageOfThePax/mode/2up

Target completion date: 0-12-00

Prooflistening level: Standard
Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi,

I'll MC for you. I'd be happy to DPL for you as well, if you don't have a proof listener already lined up!

It's funny, I've just been considering the past couple of days to do a book by the same author as a group project. :-)

PL notes Section 1 and 2.

The intro and outro of the preface would usually be read as "Preface of...." not Section 1, and then what you have as Section 2 would be Section 1. You can leave it the way you have it if you absolutely don't want to change it.

Section 1 (preface) has some loud background noise that needs to be noise cleaned.

Sorry I haven't fixed the recordings before now! I have been very busy lately and haven't had much time. I have fixed them now, though, and they are ready for PL!
Section 2 on the way...

I forgot that I had to fix something in Section 4 when I was in Audacity earlier-- I'll fix it tomorrow if I can.

2 and 4 are PL OK!

I am sorry for the delay. I think I listened to 2 right after you posted, and forgot to post in the thread. I was thinking they were both just spot checks, and I didn't get to them as fast as I would have.
