PL of sections 28-32 is ok.

I listened to the sections before reading the assignment

I was intrigued by the account of the flight across France but will now have to listen again with the assignment in mind

I wouldn't get too stressed about the assignment. I've heard the course co-ordinator is pretty easy-going. He'll probably be happy if you just do the required listening for this course.

Towards the end of section 42, there's a briefish reference to Robespierre holding forth nightly to an audience of more than a thousand Jacobins with some rather low-level rhetoric (or that seems to be Carlyle's view, anyway), and I found myself thinking "how on earth could something like that happen these days?" And then I thought "Oh, wait a minute..."

Yesterday I spent the night in a small village, population 227. The food was excellent but WiFi virtually non-existent. I downloaded the files now, village population is 75, food and WiFi both very good.

Excellent! Thank you Susanne. Marvellous (for me) that you've been able to keep up with these even though you're on the road.

As for what happens next in this 'story', I've added Volume 3 to the Launch Pad, and we'll be off and running just as soon as we have a Magic Window. I've already recorded one section for that.
