As the soloist, you also function as book coordinator (BC). That means you need to put the link in the MW, enter the time in the "notes" field, and change the status to "ready for PL".

Since no one has come along to proof listen yet, you can advertise for a DPL on the Listeners Wanted forum. Instructions on how to do this are here: viewtopic.php?p=318668#p318668

I'd like to change Listeners Wanted to Listeners Found but can't find how to do this. It could be because it's locked. Or do I have to update the template and repost in the Listeners Wanted thread?

Yes, we lock the adverts so people are forced to post in the project thread instead of in the advert. I'll unstickie it and change it to found.

My apologies on my tardiness! Chapter 1 was very well read, and I only have a couple comments.

There are two spots with unusually long gaps of silence: one at approx 13:34-13:38, and the second at approx 16:14-16:18.

Generally speaking, we don't comment on a reader's pace of reading, as long as it's intelligible. I comment on these two spots solely because in my PL multi-tasking (I was at work

) I checked the recording both times to be sure it hadn't stopped playing and I missed it.

Off to listen to Chapter 2!

Thanks Kristin, really appreciate that. I'll have a listen to those gaps and maybe cut them down. I might have been leaving a dramatic pause for the reader to hold on to the side of their chair, for a moment

Hi,
I should tell you tonight I realised all the files weren't checked with MP3 Gain before I previously uploaded them. I'd forgotten about that as I re-installed Windows recently.

Anyway, I've checked the submitted chapters with MP3 Gain and they were a bit below 89db. So I've upgraded them tonight (with MP3 Gain) and re-uploaded them all, including tonight's read - Chapter 5 https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/greatgatsby_05_fitzgerald_128kb.mp3.

I hope that's okay. Let me know if there are any problems
