Those younger twins are something else.

I wanted to give you the info on chapter 17 before I listened to any more chapters.

At about 3:23, the text reads "We thought it was Snoop mewing, or Snap howling". You've got "Sam howling" although I would have preferred to have Freddie howling. :)

This second comment is up to you if you want to do anything with it. The text is fine.
At about 4:31 when you read "We ought to look around the island", it sounds completely different from rest of the recording.

Off to listen to the rest of the story.

Thanks,

M

Just finished with 18. One comment, optional -your choice,
At about 7:09 the text reads "remarked Mr. Bobbsey at supper that night". You have "Mrs." instead of "Mr." Of course I'm all for Mrs Bobbsey making the decision without consulting her husband (like he actually did) ...

Chapters 19, 20, and 22 are PL OK.

Chapter 21 has one small stutter at 1:35. You say "Floss ... Flossie listened a moment.

Thanks,

Yeah, I had a few issues. I will get them fixed up quickly.

I did the last six chapters today and when I put them through MP3Gain, there were some HORRIBLE discrepancies in the volume. Usually it needs to go up a number or two, but one file was 67 and one was 130. I don't know what I did, and I don't want to do it again.

I don't fully understand the recording process. There are unexplained series' of clicks that come out of nowhere, small segments where the amplified volume of the narration suddenly goes WAY down for no reason, and other not so sweet mysteries which can be extremely annoying.

I need to take a course.

This book, with the little fat fireman and little fat fairy, is the beginning of all mansplaining in the world today. After all, Freddie IS 10 minutes older. Oh, and a boy.

Here are chapters 17, 18, and 21:

Yes'm! The fat fireman and fat fairy, mother asking father once he gets home, the fat black cook Dinah and her husband Sam who is superstitious and hates owls, Snoop, Snap, Whiskers the goat, and the older twins -- the boy, who does most of the goat cart driving, and the girl, who has sewing to do.

Chapter 4 is showing as 12:22, the original time before the edits. Would you please upload the edited version again?

EDIT: Err, never mind. The 12:22 is the time shown in the MW, which is the old time. At Archive it's showing correctly as the edited duration.
