My first non-test recording. Any feedback/constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

I'd like it credited to Ryan Godley.

Welcome, Mimsy! How would you like to be credited in the catalog? (How do you want your identity to show up on the catalog pages, in apps, etc.?) And if you have one, we can put your personal URL link on your catalog page too.

Welcome to Librivox Ryan :D good first reading. there are a couple of comments...
- the volume is a bit low at 86.1 You should aim for your waveforms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:

Image

You can check your volume using our Checker program - see info at http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker You will find the volume in decibels on the Information tab. For your information, we look for around 89 dB (87-91 is OK) (all the other tech specs are there also)
- your file a DC Bias of +15, (0 is good) this can be reduced by using Effect/ Normalize in Audacity
- I see Tricia has updated your Catalog page.

Hi Minsy, good reading, but the volume is a bit low at 85.9 dB, you should aim for your waveforms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:

- your file a DC Bias of +107, (0 is good) this can be reduced by using Effect/ Normalize in Audacity

Thank you Sophia, good first reading. The only comment to that the volume is too low at 76.7, theree is a background noise level of 36 dB which will be amplified also.

You should aim for your waveforms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'll make sure to watch for those issues in my next recording.
