Target completion date: 2021-12-31

Prooflistening level: Standard
Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hello,

I am available for DPL if you don't already have someone in the role.

Thank you.

Note: I changed the URL for the PDF of the report to the official government one here: https://www.rules.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/Jan%206%20HSGAC%20Rules%20Report.pdf

The document cloud link appears to the exact same report, just stored there by the Associated Press, but I wanted to make sure that the text link would be as permanent as possible.

All is well. PL status changed to "OK".

On a personal note, my heart beat just a little faster reading along

Sections 1 and 2 are posted for you. I split the portion of the report detailing the attack itself into a separate section and that's next up.

Thanks for listening,

Joanne

(Still can't quite believe I watched the whole thing on live TV.)

Very good. All is well. PL status changed to 'PL OK'

Listening to the statement about the officer who walked through afterwards and described all that lay on the ground - such odds and ends, like socks and shoes and money and phones make me think how does a person come to lose these items that are so personal and the most noticed kinds of losses on any other day? The only answer I can imagine is something I can't even conjure in my imagination and that is a kind of 'frenzy' that makes the loss of these things trivial compared to what is believed to be the greater loss, depending on the items owners' point of view.

That is indeed a puzzle. I can imagine officers and rioters both stripping off clothes because of the tear gas, pepper spray, and bear spray. I suppose the other things just got lost in the chaos and left behind as the building was eventually cleared?
