Thank you William, good reading, but at 0:14 I hear "That I ever saw" the text reads "That ever I saw", you may wish to correct this.Bruce0McFadden wrote: ↑June 10th, 2021, 11:39 am From William Bruce McFadden

David is away, so I volunteered to finish off this project for him.
Lee-Ann - PL OK; thanks!
Ella - The reading is now OK! The bit rate on this file was 192 kbps; it needs to be 128. I've fixed it, but please do watch your bit rate on future recordings. (In Audacity, this is set when you export to MP3. When you go to export, on the screen where you enter the file name for the MP3, keep the Bit Rate mode as Constant, and the quality should be 128 kbps. You should only have to set it once; it'll remember the setting until you change it again.)

Many thanks for giving the correct pronunciation of poet's last name COWPER. Google and youtube searches were not completely helpful.
(In my research for name pronunciation, I found hymns by William Cowper. Maybe we'd want to record one or more as poems? I know this isn't the correct place to suggest poems. I'm just sharing.

Evelyn:
How do you want to show up in the catalog? We can use your real name, a pseudonym, or just "EvelynL" if you like, or something totally different. This will be what shows up for you in all the public-facing pages and stuff.
Recording PL notes. I'm assuming you're using Audacity:
- The recording is in stereo. To change all future recordings, go to Edit, Preferences, Devices. Under Recording, change Channels to "1 (Mono)". To fix this one, go to Tracks / Mix / Stereo down to Mono. (Since your one channel is totally blank, this will make the overall volume too low. So after doing this, go to Effects/Amplify and amplify by 4.)
- There are about 3 seconds of silence at the beginning. Please cut this down to between 0.5 and 1 second.
- There are about 10 seconds of silence at the beginning. Please cut this down to 5 seconds.
- Bit rate is variable; it needs to be 128 constant. This is set when you export to MP3. When you go to export, on the screen where you enter the file name for the MP3, change the Bit Rate mode to Constant, and the quality should be 128 kbps. You should only have to set it once; it'll remember the setting until you change it again.
Make these changes, then upload the new file using the same file name. Post the link again with the new run time.
Thanks, and welcome!

Tricia,
Thank you so much for your help! I just made the changes. I also wasn't sure if my pause between the introduction and the poem was too long, so I just went ahead and left it as is. As for my catalog name, I'm happy to just show up as Evelyn Lehmann. Please let me know if there are any issues with the new file and I'd be happy to fix them.
