Thanks for the encouraging feedback, David.
I'm going to ask a potentially silly question, if you don't mind indulging me...
You've identified that I didn't quite hit the mark with the opening and closing silence lengths. Am I correct now in understanding that these are prescriptive lenghts, and not minimum lengths?
To give context to my approach, I think I left more space than required 'just in case' and didn't think too much more about it. So it wasn't a carefully considered decision at all :lol:

Hi Luke, back in 'the old days' of LibriVox, the mp3 players of the day would tend to cut off the ends of files, hence the 5 second ending (it used to be 10 seconds for 30+ minute files) ...too much beginning silence might panic listeners into thinking there was something wrong. :wink:
