Thanks, Michele. Yes, dungeon it is . . . but better a home on the range (where the skies are not cloudy all day).

p.s. Living on the little toe of the foothills of the Sierras I’d say they’ve changed a bit since this was written :D

Hi Scotty. Long time no see. So glad you came around, but it's been so long I can't remember if that is a real southern accent, or if you're talking cowboy! In any case, a new line popped into my head while listeneing . . . "They wipe their nose on their shirt sleeve." Don't that fit the scene? BTW, PL OK.

I lived in LA for a year back in the 1970's. Did a lot of hiking in the Sierras. I don't remember a single drop of rain, much less lightening! But it was rugged and beautiful.

Hello Rohan. Thanks for reciting this poem. I found a few errors at the times noted below, and also, numerous times where you leave no space between stanzas. I recommend you copy about 3/4 second of silence from the outro, listen again, zoom in and paste it in between the various stanzas when you hear them run together. Example:

The crimson trail of death!
add some silence
And what are man-made kings and courts,

Be sure to make these edits BEFORE you add any silences above (so you can find them before changing the times).
:23 Where live-oaks meet, live rhymes with hive
1:55 Gay, tender, careless, you say "tenderness", if you zoom in you can delete the "ness" without having to re-record.
2:54 They gaze abroad, they bare their brows, you say their bare brows

Make your edits, re-upload using the same name, post here with new file length, and I'll have another listen.

Thanks much, yes its been awhile and hopefully my ADD allows me to stick around a bit. I think this is as close to my natural accent as it gets, though a different cadence for sure (i have to focus on articulation to get more standard american i think :hmm: ).

Thank you, Tovarisch, and a very successful "attempt" it is. PL OK. :D
I bet there were/are cowboys taming the Russian wilderness as well, but I have to confess total ignorance on that subject. :(

Well done, and PL OK. Thanks for contributing.

When you say "Please credit Luke", does that mean you want to change your catalog name from Miscellaneous101 to Luke? Your username would still be Miscellaneous101 on posts, but the name that appears in finished projects would be Luke. We'd have to see if that exact name is already taken. If that is what you want, our MC can take care of that for you.

Hi Michelle.
That's an excelent question! I may have only needed to ask for that on my very first ever recording. It looks like my catalogue name comes up right when I follow the link for my name in the magic window in the Opening Post, so I don't think I needed to open my mouth at all.
I think this is just me still learning the ropes :)
*puts the rope down on the ground and backs a few steps up

Cheers,
Luke.

That is right. You only need to get your name entered into the catalog the first time. After that, it's automatic. I'm still learning the ropes after 7 years (anniversary this past June 4th).
